Tollie Cottage is set a few hundred yards off the main road on the NC 500 route through Gairloch.
The cottage is surrounded by woodland, is very peaceful and is an ideal location to relax and enjoy the local area as well as explore all that this part of the Scottish Highlands has to offer. Tollie Cottage, named after the local loch on the road to Poolewe, is an ideal base from which to explore the beautiful Wester Ross region. It is situated close to all the amenities of Gairloch, whilst offering peace and tranquillity.
Accommodation
There are 10 steps leading to the entrance from the front garden and then all rooms are on the same floor. There is also parking for up to two cars. There are decks to the front and rear for you to relax and enjoy. Please note that inside the property is strictly no smoking, thank you.
LIVING ROOM
With windows overlooking the surrounding woodland, the living room is bright and welcoming, with comfortable seating for 4, books, games, a 42" Freeview TV, DVD player and CD player.
For the cooler periods of the year there is an electric heater that is perfect at keeping guests warm and cosy.
KITCHEN / DINING ROOM
Including a dining table and 4 chairs, the kitchen/dining room also offers views of the surrounding woodland area and is well-equipped with an electric cooker, panel heater, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine, toaster and kettle.
DOUBLE BEDROOM
If you’re looking for somewhere to sleep, relax and be comfortable, the first bedroom offers sleeping for two, with a double bed, wardrobe, dressing table unit with mirror and panel heater. Linen provided.
TWIN BEDROOM
The second bedroom is also at the rear of the property and offers two single beds, dresser/mirror, wardrobe and bedside table and lamp. Linen provided.
BATHROOM
Clean and light bathroom, providing a shower over bath, sink with mirror and shaving point, toilet and heated towel rail, with towels provided.
OUTSIDE
The rear garden is enclosed and features a fantastic decking area with table and chairs for four. Relax and enjoy the surrounding wildlife and scenery at your leisure. There is also decking at the front with a small Bistro set to compliment the deck at the rear. Enjoy your time on either wherever the sun is shining. There is a shelf on the porch fence to place your drinks/plates on while you walk down and onto the deck.
WHAT'S INCLUDED
There is a welcome tray to get you started with tea, coffee, sugar and shortbread as well as milk in the fridge to ensure a cuppa on arrival. There is also a small supply of dishwasher and washing machine tabs, washing up liquid as well as handsoap, additional supplies can be purchased at the local stores. PET FRIENDLY
We allow up to two well behaved dogs in the cottage. They are not allowed in the bedrooms and we ask that you keep them off the furniture. You will need to tidy up behind your pets inside and outside the house before you leave, as this is not part of our housekeepers remit and ensures the house and garden are as clean and tidy for the next guest as they were for you. We are sure that your four legged friends will enjoy the break as much as you. Thank you.
Location
Tollie Cottage is situated in a wooded glen just a few hundred yards from Gairloch harbour, with it’s shop, café and art gallery close by. The woodland is frequented by many species of birds and the cottage itself is often visited by local ducks, pheasant and even the occasional pine marten!
It also a short walk to the Old Inn that offers food as well as lounge and public bars. The stunning sandy beach is also nearby, adjacent to the picturesque 9-hole golf course.
